Hi there! I’m Lily, the adventurous soul behind Deaf Journey! Born profoundly Deaf in New York City, I was raised in Jersey Shore and later lived in Washington, DC for over 10 years. Currently, I reside in Southern California. 🏝
Driven by wanderlust, I seek must-visit destinations and hidden gems. I’m always excited to embark on new adventures! As a first-generation Deaf Asian American, I was born to immigrant parents who settled in the USA before my birth. Growing up in a hearing family with a Deaf sibling, I learned to embrace my identity and navigate a unique world. ✈
Traveling is a privilege, and I’m truly blessed to have the potential to travel and show the world that deaf people can travel and overcome barriers without relying on hearing sounds! From hiking Yosemite’s Half Dome to swimming with manta rays in Hawaii and scaling the world’s tallest building in Dubai, I’ve prioritizing experiences over material possessions. Life is too short to miss out, so I embrace my zest for life and pursue my dreams wholeheartedly. 🙌
In 2018, I embarked on a quest to visit all 50 US states, showcasing that travel can be accessible and unforgettable for everyone. With Alaska checked off in September 2023, I’m now eager to conquer the world’s 197 countries! With every adventure, I don’t just share the thrill of exploring, I also actively break down barriers and empower fellow deaf travelers to experience the world’s wonders. 🌎

Hallo! I’m Daniel. I lead a wide range of initiatives, including marketing strategy and campaign planning, content creation, media kit development, advertising, public relations, and partnerships. I’m also responsible for brand strategy, event hosting, community engagement, and capturing content through photography and videography. 📷
With a strong commitment to accessibility and inclusion, I’m passionate about building authentic connections and leading impactful campaigns that uplift the Deaf community and promote accessible travel. ❤
Inspired by my Deaf grandmother’s unwavering spirit, I began a transformative journey in 2007, immigrating to the U.S. and proudly embracing my identity as a German-American. My story weaves together two cultures, celebrating diversity, resilience, and the power of belonging. 💛
Fueled by a passion for travel, I’ve explored over 55 countries and all 50 U.S. states. A proud Borussia Dortmund fan, I dream of experiencing the thrill of NFL and NBA games in the U.S. From hiking the Inca Trail to attending two FIFA World Cups, adventure runs deep. I recharge in luxury hotels and spas, and I’m always up for Mediterranean or Indian cuisine. 🍛
